Awesome National Parks for Families

The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t we can’t spend time with our loved ones. In fact, the United States is full of gorgeous national parks that are perfect for hiking and spending time with the fam.

If you’re planning a hiking trip with your kids, you’re probably asking yourself if any parks have safe and have easy hiking trails.

Don’t worry, though; we’ve rounded up a list of the best national parks for you!

Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park

One thing’s for certain: Acadia National Park is home to some of the best views in the US. There are plenty of trails for hiking, and even driving, if you want to take a more laid back approach.

You can watch the sunset from Bar Harbor Lighthouse, or venture to Cadillac Mountain to witness some sprawling vistas.

As for hiking trails, if you have kids above the age of 12 who aren’t afraid of heights, we recommend the Beehive Trail.

Unlike other national parks in the US, Acadia doesn’t focus so much on adventure; it has plenty of great spots for family picnics, carriage rides, stargazing, and watching the sunset. This makes it perfect for family vacations!

Arches National Park

Okay, we’re a little biased when we say that Arches National Park is one of our favorites. But that’s because it has gorgeous views to offer, offers incredible landscapes, and welcomes kids of all ages!

Make sure to visit the Balanced Rock, the Windows, and the Double Arch. For hiking, we recommend going to the Delicate Arch. It’s great for hiking with kids (if your kids are intrepid hikers).

There’s plenty of wildlife there too, so make sure to take pictures!

Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon is one of Utah’s “Mighty Five.” The national park is perfect for kids who are of elementary school age.

There are two trails we recommend here—Navajo and Queen’s Garden Loop. Navajo is 2.9 miles and there are plenty of other activities like horse riding available.

If you plan to stay at a hotel, there’s only one available—The Bryce Canyon Lodge. However, you will need to book your rooms at least three months in advance.

Other than this, the national park s perfect for hiking and road trips.

And last but not least…

Don’t forget to pack plenty of food and water. Make sure you’re equipped with the right gear. From water bottles to the right shoes, gear can make a significant difference in the quality of your hiking experience.

We offer exceptional daypacks, StrongLites, and UltraLites online and place your order today.

We also offer free shipping in the US!
